Family, friends, pets, furniture, tools, machines, sports activities, to name a few, both indoors and out, are recurring themes in my work. Everything is ultimately a landscape; colour is my interpretation of those spaces. Humor has been my saving grace, as well as the appeal of the weird and/or eccentric. Time spent observing my family life, the chores and tasks required of me, everyday occurrences, all provide me with an endless wealth of inspiration. Heaven is here on earth, my task is to open my eyes, see it and paint it. |
